The Emporio Armani AR70002 Mario is a men’s chronograph watch designed around a bold black-and-gold aesthetic. Its 43 mm ceramic case, black dial, gold-tone hands and indexes, and matching black ceramic bracelet create a cohesive, contemporary appearance. A Japanese-made quartz chronograph movement provides the watch’s timekeeping and stopwatch functionality, while the solid caseback gives the reverse of the case a clean, substantial finish.

Design & Construction

The 43 mm case is made from ceramic and measures 11 mm in thickness, giving the watch a substantial presence on the wrist without an overly bulky profile. Its black finish continues through the bracelet, creating a streamlined monochromatic foundation for the warmer gold-tone details on the dial. The solid caseback complements the case construction and maintains the watch’s sleek, uninterrupted appearance from the rear.

The integrated visual relationship between the case and bracelet makes the AR70002 especially cohesive. Ceramic brings a polished, modern character to the design, while the contrasting gold-tone elements add definition and make the dial indications easier to distinguish against the dark background.

Dial & Chronograph Display

The black dial is detailed with gold-tone stainless-steel hands and indexes, providing a crisp contrast that supports at-a-glance reading. The chronograph layout is arranged across three dedicated registers: the hour counter is positioned at 3 o’clock, the small seconds display is located at 6 o’clock, and the 30-minute counter sits at 9 o’clock.

Movement & Wearability

The watch is powered by a Japanese-made quartz chronograph movement. Quartz technology provides convenient, battery-powered timekeeping, while the chronograph function adds the ability to measure elapsed time using the dedicated counters on the dial.

A black ceramic bracelet completes the design and is secured with a butterfly clasp. This clasp style preserves the bracelet’s streamlined look when closed and provides a neat, coordinated finish around the wrist. The watch is water resistant to 30 metres, equivalent to 3 ATM.
