The SRPJ47K1 is shaped by the visual language of the 1970s “Time Sonar.” Its coloured translucent dial serves as a direct homage to that period, creating a layered appearance in which the watch’s inner workings become part of the design. This approach gives the dial depth and movement while preserving the recognizable everyday character of a Seiko 5 Sports watch.

A contrasting green accent on the second hand adds another carefully considered historical reference. The colour symbolizes the distinctive colouring patterns associated with 1970s watches, while also providing a clear point of visual emphasis as the hand moves around the dial.

Skeleton Dial & Display

The translucent dial is the defining feature of this model. Rather than completely concealing the mechanism, it allows the day/date disk to be seen through the dial and contributes to the “Skeleton Style” presentation. This creates a direct connection between the watch’s mechanical nature and its appearance.
